I am just going to apologize right now for the lack of posting and the fact that when I do post it sucks; okay maybe it’s not that bad but I know I’m getting boring. Oh well, I am hoping to change this starting now. There have been tons of changes recently that I hope to write more about this week, but I am going to stick with tradition and link up with Siddathornton for The Sunday Currently. I really enjoy this link-up and hope all do too.
READING nowhere near enough these days. I need to start working on my stack of books. One thing that I really want to do is a blog link-up book club. If you know of a blog that does this I would love to participate. I think it would be really good to get me reading things that aren’t exactly my norm.
WRITING more and more which I am enjoying. I have decided to join Siddathornton in her attempt at writing a blog post every day for the month of June. I already know that this is going to be impossible for me, so I am setting a slightly more realistic goal of writing 25 posts this month. That will let me miss 5 days this month without feeling horribly. I plan on keeping up with my normal Sunday and Monday postings, and then maybe join another link-up as well as writing about various topics.
LISTENING to Hart of Dixie playing on Netflix. This show is as cheesy as it gets but I really do love it. I’m into the second season, and not looking forward to it ending. I hope the 3rd season makes it up on Netflix soon. This show is definitely my cheesy guilty pleasure. Check it out if you are ever in the mood for something cheesy and southern!
THINKING about plans for our new apartment. We officially moved in yesterday and spent our first nightt in the apartment last night. We still have things to unpack, DIY projects to do, things to decorate, but I really think this place is going to become our home pretty quickly. I already love so many things about it and each little change is making it so much better. I will definitely be sharing pictures soon!
SMELLING all the scents of spring. My allergies are finally calming down and I especially love the smells of a spring evening; the flowers, freshly mowed grass, and more recently some bonfires and grilling. Such wonderful smells for such a wonderful time!
WISHING my computer would connect to the internet and stay connected. At our new place the Landlord has some internet set up in her business above us that we are welcome to use. All of our devices are connected with the exception of our laptops. It is only 24 hours in and it is already annoying. I am going to see if I can get them connected later (especially so I can post this!)
HOPING to find a job soon. The job hunt is exhausting and stressful. I wish I could just blog, take pictures, and doula for a living. But sadly, it doesn’t work that way. Please join us as we pray for a job that will fit our needs. I would love a receptionist/secretary/clerical job or ya know, working with a photographer or something fun like that;) If anyone knows of anything in the Beckley area please let me know!
WEARING some working clothes. I’m waiting for husband to wake up from his nap, and then we are headed over to the old apartment to grab the last few things and clean up a bit. We have an inspection and turn in the keys tomorrow afternoon!
LOVING the feeling of organizing our stuff. We have thrown away so much stuff for this move and it feels amazing. Our kitchen drawers and cabinets are so organized and our closet looks fantastic.
WANTING to sleep for a couple days. We have worked so hard this week to get everything together to move and now we just need to crash for about a week. Too bad vacation is two months away…
NEEDING to go empty the other apartment. It is so close, but it seems like it will never end and that the apartment will never be empty. I think we just need to go do it already. As soon as I’m done putting this together, I think we will do just that.
FEELING like every little thing is gonna be alright. I know it’s a cheesy old song, and I feel that way not because of a song, but for so many other reasons. I’m just thankful that I serve a God who doesn’t forget about me and has specific plans for me. It’s a pretty good thing to know you will be taken care of.
Have a great week! I’ll be back tomorrow with my Menu Plan! Here is to Day One of June!
