The Deans Eat // Thirty Nine

Shew! What a whirlwind weekend we have had! We got back late last night from a wonderful few days in Indiana with our former Youth Pastor (the one who married us!) and his family. It was just the getaway we needed and we are so thankful for their hospitality! We spent our days playing with little ones, consuming far too much frozen custard, and staying up late talking and watching basketball, of course.

While it was great, needless to say it’s always tough to get back to the daily grind following a few days away, especially when you get back late at night. I’m sure we will be playing catch up here for a few days as we unpack, do laundry, and of course eventually I’ll have to grocery shop so we don’t starve. Thankfully I have a few meals left over and some food in the freezer so we can last until I can make it to the store. For the rest of the meals this week, I’m itching to mix things up a bit now that warmer weather (read more produce!) has arrived! On top of warmer weather changing how we eat, I am getting really tired of constant junk as well as spending too much money on said junk. It’s time to return to fresh foods, as well as shopping smart! What are your best tips for clean/fresh foods on a budget?
