Happy Belated Mother’s Day! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating the important women in your life. I know I did! We surprised my Momma at church and then spent the day getting pedicures, eating ice cream, and talking theology/doctrine. It was a good day!
Husband has officially finished his spring semester! He will be completely class free this week, then will start term 1 of 2 summer terms next week. Thankfully that will just be two online classes at a time. It will be nice having him most afternoons and evenings this summer. A nice and welcomed change! Needless to say this week is one of 4 actual weeks of class free summer for us, so we plan on enjoying it!
This coming weekend, my lifelong best friend is making the trek from coastal New Hampshire to Southern West Virginia for a visit with family and she has graciously given me a few short days to spend with her as well. I’ll be picking her up Friday evening and will be savoring every moment together through Sunday afternoon. To say I’m ecstatic would be an understatement. We haven’t seen each other in over a year!
Now, to pull this exciting week together, I assume we will need to actually eat, and we all know weeks never come together quite the way you hope if there isn’t a meal plan. Case in point – last week – DISASTER. Hopefully this week will turn out at least a little better than last week.
