The weekend has come to a close, and I think I’m okay with it. The past month or so, my weekends have involved trips, events, and more. It’s been exciting, but exhausting and I was in desperate need of a weekend with nothing on the agenda. This weekend was it! I spent my Friday night staying up for too late indulging in Netflix and Pinterest. Saturday consisted of sleep, deep cleaning, and relaxation with Husband. Sunday was a busy morning of church, lunch with friends, and then the perfect Sunday nap, followed with preparing for the week and getting in our last bit of relaxation for the weekend. It was perfect, and while I’m sad to see it go, Monday doesn’t seem so scary after a great weekend.
So far, Monday is going pretty splendidly. A delicious smoothie for breakfast (seriously, these things are so good). I’ve got fruit infused water in the fridge waiting for me, the house is mostly clean, and I’m here spending a little time on my blog while I take a break from work! Last weeks menu was mostly a success, with just a few bumps in the road, mostly caused by never taking an official, list-in-hand, grocery trip! I will do better this week, I promise! Last week I also tried TWO brand new recipes that were home-runs for us – Pinot Grigio Chicken and Skillet Lasagna! I would happily recommend these to anyone! That chicken recipe will be a new summer regular, I assure you.
