If I’m being honest it’s late night Sunday/early Monday. Insomnia paired with some twinges of anxiety have left me sleepless. This week is going to be such a tough one. Husband’s classes are coming to a close with plenty of homework and a few tests, full work weeks for both of us, recovery from an exciting weekend with my sister, plus MAJOR vacation preparation.
I know, I know, I don’t have much to complain about, but with vacation comes what I like to call travel anxiety. I haven”t been officially diagnosed or anything, and I truly don’t want to take away from those who do have an official anxiety diagnosis. However, I have struggled with this overwhelming fear and struggle for as long as I can remember. Let’s pray I can make it through this week and vacation without too many problems.
Part of helping this anxiety is simplifying things as much as possible. I’ve got a very simply meal plan this week for Monday – Wednesday (as I won’t need to supply meals the rest of the week) and to make things even easier we will head out for a quick meal out on Thursday.
Needless to say, the reward at the end of this week will be so worth it; but until then, say a few prayers for us that we survive this week!
