I am absolutely okay with Monday arriving when the house is clean (or close to it), the meals are planned, and the week in general is looking pretty good. There isn’t too much on our plates this week, just a whole lot of normal and that’s just the way I like it. I recently had a few things that threw my possible normal way out of whack and it’s making me savor my day to day.
Last week was a little crazy and we had the perfect weekend that consisted of playing catch-up, taking a nap or two, date night, and a little bit of our latest Netflix addition (Friday Night Lights anyone?). Really, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend. *Queue gushing about married life* Being married to your best friend is fantastic. Getting to experience all the day to day things with such a phenomenal partner by your side is more than I could have ever imagined. It’s gloriously hard, but getting to go through the ups and downs with them makes it all worth it.
Shew, getting off that rabbit trail. Now, let’s get to this weeks menu. I am making some of my favorite meals this week. I am particularly excited about tonight’s dinner which will be my first attempt at recreating my favorite meal from vacation. I’ll tell you more about it if its a success, I promise!
