The Deans Eat // Sixty One

Hello Monday!

Hello cold, crisp weather. There has been frost on the ground and on the windows. The air is cool & crisp. It’s beautiful and wonderful.

Hello playing catch-up. I had a wonderful weekend spending time with family while Husband held down the fort at home, but now it’s time to play catch-up. Meal planning, laundry, cleaning, to-do lists, and more. It was absolutely worth it though. The best part? Getting all dressed up and catching a performance of Mary Poppins with my momma. Mary Poppins PlayThis performance was truly spectacular. Bravo Charleston Light Opera Guild!

Mother and daughterShe definitely doesn’t look old enough to be my momma does she? 😉

Hello post Whole30 eating. I’ve eaten a variety of foods and the only thing to make me sick thus far? My old favorite pizza that we ordered in a bind one night. Now that I’ve splurged a little more than I should have, I’m ready to figure out how I want to incorporate what I learned during Whole30 into my day-to-day habits. However – I don’t quite have this figured out yet.

Pancakes and Bacon

I definitely wasn’t going to turn down my dad’s homemade buttermilk pancakes. YUM.

This weeks menu is simple as our schedule is a bit off and our weekend is undecided. Plus after a month of detailed menu planning I’m ready to simplify things a bit. Hopefully I will have more of an idea of how I want to make these changes a reality soon.
