Monday, why have you arrived again so quickly? Seriously, this past week and weekend flew by and I’m not ready to face another Monday. Well, since I have to face it anyways, I should really embrace the good don’t ya think? But first lets talk about this weekend.
On Saturday Husband and I went on our first real date night in awhile. We tried out a new local bowling alley – Pinheads – in Oak Hill, WV. They are a recently remodeled/updated place with great food, drink, and fun. Ha, that was a bit cheesy, but it was true. Seriously, their homemade potato chips were to-die-for. SO GOOD. We will definitely be going back. Then we stopped at another local Oak Hill spot, Delfino’s. It definitely seemed like that small-town place where you have your favorite waitress and booth, and everyone is one big happy family. There was a big 1st birthday party happening and it was definitely like everyone was a part of the celebration. Pizza and wings made for the perfect meal (with tons of leftovers, because SO MUCH FOOD). After a quick stop at the grocery store we were home with ice cream and Netflix by 8pm. We are old & boring and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Before we talk about this Sunday lets just remember last Sunday. Freezing cold, almost 2 feet of snow on the ground, snowed in all weekend, etc. This Sunday we headed to church first thing and I was definitely thankful to worship with my church family again. Also, it was BEAUTIFUL outside guys. I went without a jacket, on January 31st, in West Virginia. What is this madness? Then we headed to Charleston with some friends to take care of a couple errands and enjoy the good weather and the city. We were back in time for a communion fellowship with our church. Again, I so cherish this special time with my church family. Grease Live was the finale to my weekend, and it was a GRAND finale. Seriously, if you didn’t get the chance to watch it, you missed out. It was a fantastic production.
This week should be a good one once we get past the necessary work and chores 😛 . My momma is coming for a visit this coming weekend, and then the Carolina Panthers are going to win the Super Bowl on Sunday night. (Why yes, I am making a pretty sure prediction) I’m also looking forward to enjoying some slightly nicer weather as well as the ever increasing day light in the evenings. My to-do lists are made and I’m ready to tackle the week, what about you? First on my list is Menu Planning as always.
Monday | Skillet Meal, Corn, & Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
Tuesday | Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, & Green Beans
Wednesday | Chili Cornbread Bake
