Currently | July

Is it already July? Seriously. Agh. I can’t keep up. Can’t let this month slip by without doing my favorite post. Read on to see what I’m up to this month, ya know, apart from moving and all.

TOASTING | Husband’s new job. I know I mentioned we are moving, but little was said about Husband’s new job. We got pretty frustrated and discouraged while we waited and searched for his first post grad job. With each new possibility that arose, my heart would commit, and before I knew it I had our entire future planned in my mind. This resulted in a lot of heartache and crushed plans. When this job came along, it wasn’t even something we were majorly considering. Things moved so quickly I didn’t even have time to think and dream and plan. Then there we were, accepting a job and making the decision to move. This job is something Husband has dreamed of for so long and he is so excited to get started and grow in this company. It’s exciting & unexpected, but very obviously God’s plan.

GOING | to really miss West Virginia. Expect me to write on this more soon. Really been feeling the things we are going to be saying goodbye to here. Just because the future is so exciting, doesn’t change the hurt of the things we are leaving.

SMELLING | White Peach Mango wax bars. Husband picked this scent out at the store a few weeks ago and I’ve loved heating this in my Scentsy recently. It’s such a delicious & summery scent!

WEARING | Clothes? I never know what to put for this one. Guys, I work from home and don’t go many places. My wardrobe is not very exciting. I have been digging a few simple maxi dresses I got this summer and I feel like I’ve been living in those. They are super comfy and can be dressed up or down which is a definite win in my book!

WISHLISTING | Everything possible for my dream home. While I’m not exactly moving into my dream home, we are moving into a new apartment with more decorating possibilities. Even more so I will be living near a handful of new to-me stores that will bring lots of fun. My wishlist is about a mile long right now. If you check out my Pinterest, you will get a little bit of an idea of the things I’m wishing for.

Thanks so much to Anne over at In Residence and Jenna at Gold & Bloom for hosting such a lovely link-up!

The Sunday Currently // Nineteen

I love Sundays for church fellowship, resting, planning for the week and more; but I hate that Sunday is the end of the weekend, meaning Monday morning is arriving so very quickly. Despite this, we try so hard to embrace our moments on Sundays, sometimes this means YouTube videos and naps laying  in bed all afternoon, and some weeks it means cleaning and laundry all day. The important part is that it’s the only day we get to spend all day together.

Today has been a crazy day filled with lots of emotions and ended up not being quite the relaxing productive day we imagined. Ya know what though? It was a good day, and a good ending to the weekend. Before the weekend ends though, I really want to get in a quick Sunday Currently post. I wish I was able to do these more regularly, but sometimes is better than never. I’m linking up with Kristin again, of course.

READING // Plenty of blogs, but not much more than that. I really enjoy reading different blogs every day. I do my daily reading with Bloglovin’ which helps me keep track of whats been read and what hasn’t. How do you keep up with your favorite blogs. Feel free to follow me over on Bloglovin’ for easy reading!

WRITING // My Christmas list. Who says being an adult means you can’t  make a Christmas list? Plus, it always helps to have a few ideas when people inevitably  ask you what you do want for Christmas.

WATCHING // Gilmore Girls, Parks & Rec, and lots of Christmas movies. It’s not even Thanksgiving but we have already watched two Christmas movies, with at least one more this week if not more.

LISTENING // To Christmas Music!! I really am in the Christmas spirit and I’m so ready for full-time Christmas music. Have you heard the new Idina Menzel/Michael Buble version of Baby It’s Cold Outside? It makes me so happy, please. Go listen, now.

PLANNING // my Thanksgiving week. I work half a day on Wednesday and then will be spending Thursday with my Mom’s family in Ravenswood. I so enjoy my Thanksgiving traditions with them, and thankfully husband will be able to join us for the afternoon after he gets off work. Before then though, there are plenty of things to be accomplished.

ENJOYING // Dog cuddles. We have a new member of the family that has brought complete joy. We were dog sitting for my family while they were on vacation, but after a week the thought of her going away absolutely broke my heart. Following some discussion with various people it was agreed she would stay, at least for the time being. This dog mommy is very happy to say the least.

WISHING // I had a week to focus only on Christmas shopping, preferably at a decent mall. I love Christmas shopping, but unfortunately I’m lacking both time, and resources. Therefor I resort to online shopping, but believe me I wish I was walking around the mall hand picking each item.

FEELING // Happy. Wonderful. Plain ol’great. Going into Monday, that’s really all that matters.

Short sweet and to the point, but this is my life right now.

Menu Plan Monday // Twenty Seven

Hello Dog-Sitting. Husband and I are taking care of my sister’s dog while she is in Miami (yes, I’m jealous). We are so enjoying our time with the dog, Cali, and we are so glad our landlord let us keep her for a while. We like being dog-parents to say the least.

Hello better sleeping patterns. I seem to be waking up earlier these days pretty much on my own. After fighting with my sleep schedule for what seems like forever, it’s nice for things to be evening out. I went from not being able to fall asleep until early morning, waking up every hour or so, and then crawling out of bed exhausted at the last possible minute. Then a couple weeks ago I began falling asleep by 10pm, sleeping without waking up all night, but still crawling out bed at the last minute exhausted. Not to mention I spent my days exhausted and struggling to stay awake. Now finally I think things have settled down, I’m falling asleep at a reasonable time, and waking up at a reasonable time quite refreshed. As you can tell, this success is making me pretty happy.

Hello to a season of Thanksgiving. I love this time of year, I’m excited about Christmas but trying not so skip this important time of the year. A time when I am constantly reminded of the wonderful things in my life.

Hello to laundry catch-up day. I despise laundry, I really do. I am fine with sorting it, and even starting a load or two, but once I actually need to deal with laundry folding and putting it away I want to cry. I hate doing it, and it ends up being piled up in the bedroom and I can’t tell whats clean or what’s dirty again. Today, I get this under control.

Hello Menu Plan Monday. I’m a little bit behind on my menu planning this week, no grocery shopping has been accomplished and the list hasn’t even been made. Husband has been taking care of the grocery shopping recently, and I couldn’t be more thankful for him taking care of that on Monday evenings. I’m linking up with Organizing Junkie as usual. Feel free to link up and share your menu with us too!

Hello to a fresh start. The best part of Monday is that it’s a fresh start and a new beginning. So often by the time Thursday and Friday have hit in a week full of mistakes, I feel like there is no point in continuing to try, but Monday, all that motivation is there to make this week better than the last.

Hello menu post TWENTY FIVE! It’s crazy to think I have shared 25 weeks of menus with you. Menu Plan Monday // Twenty Two

Do you remember a while back when I would do Hello Monday posts? I feel like including that with my menu plan post today. This could be a normal thing, or maybe not. Just going with the flow over here.

Hello Monday!

Hello beautiful crisp fall weather. It didn’t even reach 50 on Saturday. Autumn has arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Hello slightly cleaner house. The decluttering plan is going well so far. The house is feeling clean, so I am feeling good! I could get used to this.

Hello new work experiences. Over the past two months at my new job I have now worked on three different teams. At first, it kills me. I get frustrated with having to relearn everything, but I truly know in the long run this will be for the best. Right now my goal for this week is to learn and adjust as much as possible.

Hello Gilmore Girls. In case you haven’t heard, Gilmore Girls is on Netflix. I have never watched all of the seasons, and it has been a great companion to my weekend. Let’s hope it doesn’t distract me from getting too much done this week.

Hello Menu Plan. As usual I am linking up with Laura over at Organizing Junkie. You should join us!
